Every parent knows that when a child experiences an emotion, he or she experiences it "with all his or her heart". He/she cries hot tears because of a torn yoghurt lid at the opening, hits his/her little brother who touched his/her car, shouts for joy because he/she has found his/her socks and runs in your arms trembling with fear at the sight of the neighbour's little dog. This is normal, and adults have an important role to play in helping children grow up to understand and tame their emotions.

Tout parent sait que, lorsqu’un enfant vit une émotion, il la vit « de tout son coeur ». Il pleure à chaudes larmes à cause d’un couvercle de yaourt déchiré à l’ouverture, il tape son petit frère qui a touché à sa voiture, il crie de joie car il a trouvé ses chaussettes et il court dans vos bras tremblant de peur à la vue du petit chien du voisin.

Les enfants ont un besoin naturel de découvrir le monde qui les entoure. Ils le font à travers tous leurs sens et leurs mouvements, c’est pourquoi ils ont besoin de prendre part à des activités pour apprendre. C’est « l’apprentissage actif». Comment, à la maison, accompagner cette curiosité et ce besoin de bouger ?
